Komsomoltsev Island in Minsk, created by artificially widening the Swisloch River in 1940-1941, is one of several small islands formed as a result of this project. It is located in the Victory Park and is one of the most popular leisure spots among Minsk residents. You can reach it via Orlovskaya Street, descending from the bridge. This island is a beautiful spot for walking. Among the well-maintained paths lined with flowers, shrubs, and trees, you can always find a free bench for reading or resting. Additionally, biking is permitted here, making strolls even more enjoyable and varied. From the shore of Komsomoltsev Island, you can see several other islands on Komsomolskoye Lake. There are at least four, and you can only reach them by boat or catamaran. These islands appear wild and romantic but are unlikely to be suitable for comfortable walks. The pier on Komsomoltsev Island is an excellent place for observing life on the water. Here, you often see a cheerful boat with a disco on board, and on the opposite shore, on hot days, there's a resort atmosphere: people sunbathe, play volleyball, and swim. Despite the island's popularity, it always maintains a calm and serene atmosphere. Minsk residents visiting this place respect each other's peace, making this island ideal for those seeking solitude and quiet in the heart of the city.
