Storozhevsky Square

1 min. to read

Storozhevsky Square is located in the Central District of Minsk, at the corner of Masharova Avenue and Storozhovskaya Street. This cozy green corner of the city was named in honor of the historic area of Storozhevka by a decision of the Minsk City Council of Deputies on December 22, 2006. The square occupies the territory of the former Storozhevskoye cemeteries, which were demolished in the 1950s. On its grounds, the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene, built in 1847, has been preserved, adding a special historical and architectural charm to the square. Additionally, the square houses the Creative Theater-Studio of Cinema Actors, which adds cultural richness to the place. Storozhevsky Square is a great spot for walking and relaxation in the heart of Minsk, combining historical atmosphere with modern cultural elements.
