"Kosmos" Park

3 min. to read

"Kosmos" Park in the Frunzensky District of Minsk, named after the first Belarusian female astronaut Marina Vasilyevskaya, is a new and modern recreational area where families can spend time together.

What can you find here?

Grill Area: Equipped with several large tables, benches, and grills, providing excellent conditions for a picnic in nature. Sports Grounds: The park offers a workout area with exercise equipment and pull-up bars, as well as a rope park with a mini climbing wall and slackline, which will especially delight children and teenagers. Children's Playground: There is a traditional playground with a sandbox, swings, and a play complex in the shape of a rocket, emphasizing the park's space theme. Barefoot Trail: A unique path for foot massage made of various natural materials such as pine cones, bark, and stones.

Why is it important to wear good shoes instead of bringing children’s transport?

The park is covered with fine gravel, making it very inconvenient for children’s bikes, scooters, and strollers. The wheels constantly get stuck in the gravel, causing transport to be carried by hand. This can be frustrating for parents with young children, but the park is quite suitable for walking.

What else can be noted?

The park is lush with greenery, making it pleasant to stroll while listening to birdsong. There are plenty of benches along the paths for comfortable rest, although currently, there is a lack of lighting, which could be a problem in the evening. Future plans include improving the path surface, which will make the park even more convenient for visits with children.

In summary:

"Kosmos" Park is a great place for family recreation and active outdoor walks. Despite some drawbacks such as gravel paths and insufficient lighting, the park has already gained popularity among locals, offering a variety of activities and relaxation areas.
