Rotunda and Embankment in Loshitsky Park

On the picturesque embankment of Loshitsky Park, among the greenery and shady alleys, stands an elegant rotunda that has become the highlight of this corner of nature. The structure is located right by the water, next to a recently created artificial island connected to the shore by a wooden bridge. This place attracts passersby with its aesthetics and the opportunity to relax while enjoying the views. The rotunda blends harmoniously into the park’s landscape, offering visitors a chance to pause briefly and take in the view of the water and the surrounding nature. Although there are no benches inside the gazebo, its form and design draw attention—the round roof in the shape of a dome gives it an airiness and lightness. The project fits seamlessly into the public space, creating an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. Loshitsky Park itself is a unique natural and historical zone. Here, 32 types of soils intersect, rare trees thrive, well-kept alleys stretch, and centuries of history unfold. Impressive architectural elements, such as the early 20th-century estate, complement the park’s appearance, which once belonged to the Prushinsky family. Over its long history, the park has witnessed the NKVD headquarters, the actions of Minsk underground fighters, and even became a site for scientific research led by Nikolai Vavilov. It’s no surprise that Loshitsky Park is surrounded by mysticism, and its underground passages and legends of ghosts stir the imagination of visitors.
