Wing at Loshitsa Estate

Wing, built in 1895 on a stone foundation, is a unique part of the historical and cultural heritage of the Loshitsa estate park in Minsk. The wooden building with a turret served various functions: it housed servants, stored supplies, and prepared food for the owners of the estate. Inside the wing, there is an exhibition called “The Wheel of Time,” which showcases objects of urban and rural culture from the late 19th to the mid-20th century. The exhibition features pottery, craft tools, weaving items, old sewing machines, copper utensils, irons, and samovars. Particular attention should be given to the antique interiors: a dining room with carved furniture, a rare canvas cupboard from the late 19th century, and an authentic mirror found in the attic. A unique detail is the low passage in the corridor, through which the servants had to bow when entering the master's part of the house. The tiled floors from the 1890s and a fish barrel, called "buch," have also been preserved since the wing’s construction. The second floor regularly hosts temporary thematic exhibitions. Although the wing is not a permanent residence, it helps to recreate the atmosphere of life in the late 19th century, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the ambiance of estate life from past centuries.
