Romashkin Square
Romashkin Square is a cozy green spot in the Minsk-Mir district, named in honor of Hero of the Soviet Union Timofey Romashkin. At the center of the square stands a monument commemorating his heroic deed. On January 8, 1954, there was an attempted hijacking aboard a Li-2 aircraft on the Tallinn-Minsk-Leningrad flight.
