Carriage Museum

Carriage Museum in Minsk is a small but interesting place that immerses visitors in the history of transportation during the Minsk gubernia period. The exhibition, opened in 2014, is located on the grounds of the former Bernardine Monastery and occupies only one hall. Authentic exhibits are displayed here, including phaetons, carriages, sleighs, and carts, as well as elements of horse harnesses and antique tools. Special attention is drawn to the interactive zone, where you can assemble a carriage in a virtual game or learn interesting facts about historical objects of pre-revolutionary Minsk through an info kiosk. The museum also recreates a 19th-century carriage workshop, where visitors can see a craftsman's workspace. If desired, you can book a guided tour, which allows for a deeper immersion into the era and offers more insight into the development of vehicles of that time. Despite its modest size (only 72 square meters), the carriage museum is an excellent option to visit with children, and its central location makes it accessible for tourists. It is also recommended to purchase a combined ticket that provides access to the Archaeological Museum "Upper Town" and the Museum "Minsk Horse Tram".
