Maxim Bogdanovich Literary Museum

Maxim Bogdanovich Literary Museum in Minsk is dedicated to the life and work of one of the greatest classics of Belarusian literature. Located in the historic district of Trinity Suburb, the museum offers an immersion into the unique world of the poet, whose works have left a deep mark on Belarusian culture. The museum was founded in 1981 and opened to visitors in 1991, on the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth. The museum's exhibition features unique manuscripts, personal belongings, and photographs of Maxim Bogdanovich. Special attention is also given to his only collection of poems, "Venok," which has become a classic of Belarusian literature. Among the significant exhibits are a Belarusian rushnyk embroidered by the poet's mother and the famous Slutsk belt. The museum actively engages in exhibition activities, regularly updating displays and hosting thematic events. Literary evenings, book presentations, and literary award ceremonies are held here. Special events are organized on the poet's birthday, December 9, and on Memorial Day, May 25. The museum also has two branches: "Belarusian Khata" and "Folwark Rakutyevshchina," where significant historical artifacts and documents related to Bogdanovich's life and work are preserved.
