In Minsk, preparations are actively underway for the launch of new metro stations and the Avia Mall shopping and entertainment complex in the Minsk Mir district. In December this year, three major stations will open on the Zelenoluzhskaya metro line: "AeroDromnaya," "NemorShanskiy Sad," and "Slutskiy Gostinets." It is expected that this will significantly improve the transportation infrastructure and convenience of movement in the area.
Special attention is given to the "AeroDromnaya" station, which will become a key stop for Minsk Mir residents. It is located on the site of the former airport and will be equipped with escalators and elevators. The station will also be connected to the new Avia Mall shopping and entertainment center, located right at the metro exit. Inside the shopping center, a Christmas tree has already been installed.
"AeroDromnaya" will become an important transfer hub in the future: a transition to the fourth metro line is planned, with construction scheduled for the 2030–2040s. The stations are already in the final stages of finishing work. Only construction debris needs to be cleared, and minor tasks are left to complete. The doors, which temporarily block the entrances, have the words "Can be opened" written on them, indicating the readiness of the facility.
The "NemorShanskiy Sad" and "Slutskiy Gostinets" stations are also completing their final construction stages. Both stations are located at the intersection of key city streets—Kizhevatova and Osipovichskaya—and promise to become a convenient transport hub for thousands of Minsk residents. At night, lighting has already been turned on at the stations, creating a striking visual effect.
In addition, a giant screen has been installed on the facade of the Avia Mall shopping center in the Minsk Mir district, attracting the attention of passersby. The screen, composed of several dozen panels, has a unique arched shape and operates with high resolution, providing a bright and clear image.
It is important to note that innovations in Minsk's metro system are not limited to just three new stations. Authorities have already announced plans to complete the construction of the second section of the third metro line, which will open new horizons for the capital's transportation network. Trains are already being tested on the new stations, and the purchase of new carriages from Russia promises to improve passenger comfort.
Thus, in December, Minsk will open new opportunities for its residents and visitors, improving the transportation infrastructure and offering new opportunities for shopping and entertainment.
