Lakeside Park, located on the picturesque shore of
the Tsnyanskoe Reservoir, has long been a favorite leisure spot for the residents of Minsk. In 2025, this popular park is set for major changes: its area will expand from 7 to 36 hectares, and new features and infrastructure will make it a true gem of the Northern Waterfront. What exactly will change and why is this event so important for the city? We reveal the details.
Lakeside Park will become 5 times larger: what new features will emerge?
According to information from the developer "Northern Waterfront," this year Lakeside Park will be transformed into a complete space for leisure, sports, and family fun. On the new 29 hectares that will be added to the existing area, modern facilities will be introduced to meet the needs of a diverse range of visitors.
- A next-level beach area. The reconstructed Beach No.5 will feature an easy access ramp to the water, tanning areas, and all the necessary infrastructure for a comfortable experience by the reservoir.
- A restaurant with a panoramic view. A dining venue overlooking the park will become an ideal spot for dinner or lunch set against a natural backdrop.
- Children's playgrounds. Modern play areas with interactive elements and a high level of safety will delight young visitors and their parents.
- Sports facilities. Fans of active recreation will be able to enjoy mini-football, basketball, workout sessions, and other sports in specially equipped areas.
- Walking trails and viewpoints. Unique paths and spots offering views of the Tsnyanskoe Reservoir will add charm to the park and inspire long walks.
- Rental stations. Water and children's play equipment will be available for rent, making leisure even more varied.
The design of the new area has already begun, and the completion of all works is scheduled for the end of 2025. This means that already this year, the residents of Minsk will be able to see the first results of the transformations.
The Developer's Vision: Nature and Comfort in Harmony
“This will not be just a park, but a unique space where nature is combined with modern facilities and infrastructure. We want every visitor to feel comfortable here and discover something new for themselves and their family,” noted Anton Rusakievich, director of the developer "Northern Waterfront."
The project aims to create a modern urban environment that preserves the natural beauty of the Tsnyanskoe Reservoir while offering all the conveniences for leisure. Lakeside Park will become part of the ambitious development plan for the "Northern Waterfront" residential complex, which is already positioned as the new cultural and business center of Minsk.
Why is this important for the city?
The expansion of Lakeside Park is not only an increase in green space but also a step toward improving the quality of life in the capital. Northern Waterfront, implemented by LLC "Riverside Development Limited," is actively developing: last year, 6 houses were completed, and now another 14, along with a parking lot, fire depot, kindergarten, and school, are under construction. The addition of new recreational areas, such as the revamped Lakeside Park, makes this district even more attractive for both living and visiting.
Minsk has long lacked projects like this—places where one can simultaneously enjoy nature and benefit from modern infrastructure. Lakeside Park promises to become exactly such a space, uniting generations and interests.
What can the residents expect in 2025?
By the end of the year, Lakeside Park will transform into a multifunctional recreational area where everyone will find an activity to their liking. Beaches, sports, walks, delicious food with a view of the water, and safe zones for children – all of this will make the park the ideal choice for weekends or an evening after work.
If you haven't yet visited Lakeside Park, 2025 is a great reason to get to know it better. Follow the project's news and get ready for the opening of the revamped space that promises to become the new calling card of Minsk.
