Bird Island is a small nature reserve located in the heart of Minsk, which becomes home to over thirty species of rare birds during the summer, some of which are protected and listed in the Red Book. The island is connected to the city by a bridge, which is illuminated at night.
To maintain ecological balance and create comfortable conditions for its avian inhabitants, elevated walkways have been installed on the island. These pathways, seemingly floating in the air, minimize impact on the natural environment. They encircle the entire island, and among the tree branches, one can spot numerous birdhouses of various sizes. Some of these are designed not only for birds but also for bats and squirrels.
Benches and trash bins are placed in the shade of the trees, and at the far end of the island, there is a wooden observation deck that provides a good vantage point for bird watching.
On weekends, Bird Island attracts many visitors, and the benches are often occupied by couples. However, at night, it becomes quiet and deserted, with only the lanterns at the pier illuminating the area.
Bird Island is an ideal place for solitude and relaxation, where every step fills the soul with harmony and tranquility.
