The main Christmas tree of Minsk will light up on October Square on December 10th

November 27, 2024,3 min. to read

Minsk is getting ready for the New Year holidays, and one of the brightest traditions—the lighting of the country's main Christmas tree—will take place on December 10th. This year, the frame of the Christmas tree on October Square is already visible, and in the coming days, it will be decorated with festive decor. The official lighting ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM, and at that moment, Minsk will immerse itself in the atmosphere of true winter magic. The capital's main Christmas tree will be 30 meters tall this year, adorned with red and gold lights and bright LEDs that will create a spectacular glow. Additionally, near the tree, the residence of Ded Moroz and Snegurochka will be set up, where both children and adults can meet the main characters of the winter holidays. As noted by "Mingorsvet," this year's holiday illumination in Minsk will be especially impressive. New thematic light figures have already been installed at various points around the city and will shine with lights in mid-December, adding to the festive mood and beautifying the city atmosphere. The lighting of the main Christmas tree has become an important event for Minsk. Last year, the event attracted significant interest from Minsk residents and tourists, and it was decided to make it a tradition. The ceremony will mark the start of the New Year season and open a series of bright events and holiday programs that will take place across the city. The main Christmas tree on October Square will not only symbolize the upcoming holidays but also serve as a reason to meet with friends and family, as well as stroll along the decorated streets of the city. This year, it will be adorned with a pixelated "shawl," and the red-and-gold decorations will give it a special festive look. Don't miss the most important New Year's event of the year and join the magic in the heart of Minsk!
