New Recreation Area in Lesopark "Medvezhino" – Modern Playgrounds & Memorial Alley in Minsk

New Recreation Area in Lesopark "Medvezhino" – Modern Playgrounds & Memorial Alley in Minsk

March 28,4 min. to read

In the picturesque Lesopark "Medvezhino", located in the Frunzensky district of Minsk, a modern recreation area will soon appear. This place promises to become a new attraction for families with children, nature lovers, and everyone who appreciates comfortable leisure in the fresh air. This was revealed by Nikolai Strok, the first deputy head of the Frunzensky district administration, in an interview with the "Minsk News" agency. The opening is scheduled for the near future, and specialists are already actively working on creating this unique space.

What will appear in the new recreation area?

The improvement project for Lesopark "Medvezhino" includes several interesting objects:
  • Modern playgrounds. They will be designed for children of various ages — from toddlers to teenagers. The playgrounds will be equipped with safe equipment: swings, slides, sports complexes, and creative zones. This is an ideal place for active recreation and child development.
  • An alley in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. A symbolic element of the project that will immortalize the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The alley will not only adorn the park but also serve as an important reminder of the significance of peace and unity.
Work is being carried out by "Zelestroi" specialists together with district administration employees. Their goal is to make the recreation area convenient and attractive for all visitors.

District improvement: not just the park

The opening of the recreation area is only part of the large-scale changes in the Frunzensky district. Nikolai Strok noted that in June 2025, after major repairs, five residential buildings will be put into operation. This will improve the living conditions for many local residents and give the district a more modern look. In addition, a new flat-surfaced parking lot for 300 spaces will soon open on Marshal Losik Street. It will help solve the problem of the lack of parking spaces, which is especially important for a densely populated district with a large number of cars.

Why is this important for Minsk?

Lesopark "Medvezhino" has long been beloved by the citizens for its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. However, until now, there have not been enough well-equipped places for family leisure. The new area with playgrounds and a memorial alley will make the park even more functional and significant for residents.
  • For families with children: modern playgrounds will provide an opportunity to spend time beneficially and enjoyably.
  • For the memory of generations: the alley in honor of the Great Victory will be a place where one can remember the heroic deeds of ancestors, especially on the eve of the 80th anniversary.

When to expect the opening?

Exact dates have not yet been announced, but work is already in full swing. Judging by the specialists' activity, the recreation area will open in the coming months, so that residents can enjoy the new space in 2025.

Conclusion

The new recreation area in Lesopark "Medvezhino" is an example of how city authorities are working to improve the quality of life for Minsk residents. Playgrounds, a memorial alley, renovated houses, and a parking lot — all of this makes the district more comfortable and attractive. If you are looking for a place for walks, leisure with children, or simply want to enjoy nature, Lesopark "Medvezhino" will soon be an excellent choice. Stay tuned for news so as not to miss the opening!
