A new international-class swimming pool has opened in Minsk, located on Kalvariyskaya Street. This large-scale sports complex, built with Chinese investment, promises to become a real gem for swimming enthusiasts and those looking to maintain their physical fitness through wellness procedures. According to representatives of the Republican Center for Water Sports, the complex will begin operation on January 2, 2025. It is expected to be available to a wide range of visitors once membership sales start on December 26, 2024.

Services for Everyone

The new swimming pool in Minsk offers not only swimming lessons but also a range of additional services for those who want to improve their fitness or simply relax. The rehabilitation center, which is also part of the complex, offers Finnish saunas, hammams, infrared saunas, and a hydrotherapy room. For active recreation enthusiasts, there is a gym, fitness areas, and space for playing badminton. For the convenience of visitors, the new complex has electronic systems for memberships and lockers. Thanks to these technologies, the visit will be as comfortable and fast as possible. Memberships will be valid for all water facilities except those designated for professional athletes. The complex will be able to accommodate more than a thousand people simultaneously.

How to Access the New Swimming Pool and What Are the Costs?

Ticket sales for legal entities will start on December 20, 2024, and for individuals on December 26. However, the pool's doors for regular visitors will only open on January 2, 2025, when all systems are finalized and ready to welcome the first guests. Prices for services are expected to be quite affordable for most Minsk residents.

Prices for Swimming Pool Services:

  • One-time visit to the 50-meter pool (45 minutes): 15 rubles for adults, 12 rubles for children under 16.
  • One-time visit to the 25-meter pool (45 minutes): 12 rubles for adults, 10 rubles for children under 16.
  • Membership for 4 sessions per month: 13 rubles for the 50-meter pool, 10 rubles for the 25-meter pool.
  • Membership for 8 sessions per month: 12 rubles for the 50-meter pool, 9 rubles for the 25-meter pool.
Children's memberships will be cheaper, and special conditions are offered for group lessons. This solution will make the pool more accessible to various groups of citizens.

Infrastructure and Additional Services

In addition to water facilities, the new complex offers visitors additional amenities. For example, there is a large parking lot with 490 spaces, making it convenient for those planning to arrive by car. Parking will be paid, and part of it will be transferred to local authorities for further use. For those wishing to relax after intensive workouts or simply improve their health, saunas and baths are available on the premises. The rehabilitation center will be equipped with the latest equipment, and the hydrotherapy room will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy not only sports procedures but also relaxation.

Planned Development of the Complex

In 2025, the management of the complex plans to expand its infrastructure. In the coming months, 20 table tennis tables will be purchased, and a dedicated section will be created. This decision aims to attract even more active recreation enthusiasts.

Preparation for Athletes

Although the pool is designed for mass visits, the main focus will be on training professional athletes. Swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, and water polo training will take place in the main 50-meter pool in the morning and evening hours.

Conclusion

The opening of the new international-standard swimming pool in Minsk is a long-awaited event for swimming and active recreation enthusiasts. The modern infrastructure, variety of services, and comfortable conditions make this complex attractive not only for professionals but also for a wide audience. Opening on January 2, 2025, the pool will become one of the most visited sports facilities in Minsk, offering affordable prices, comfortable conditions, and a wide range of services for all categories of citizens.
