In Minsk, on May 1, the new season of the popular street food venue
“Best Street”, located on the grounds of the historic Luch watch factory, officially kicked off. The gastronomic space, which appeared in the city in 2022, has once again opened its doors to residents and guests of the Belarusian capital, offering not only a variety of culinary delights but also a rich entertainment program.
Festive Opening and Unique Atmosphere
Residents of Minsk eagerly awaited the return of one of the city’s most atmospheric spaces, and on opening day the venue did not disappoint its guests. From noon onward, the former factory grounds were filled with the aromas of street food, music, and a celebratory mood.
A highlight of the 2025 season is the thoughtfully designed program of events for visitors of all ages. For younger guests, the organizers prepared a special children’s program featuring face painting and Disney cartoon screenings. The adult audience could enjoy creative master classes in painting and energetic DJ sets.
A Food Court with Character
The main attraction of “Best Street” remains, of course, the diversity of gastronomic offerings. Food trucks and stalls offer dishes from around the world—from traditional Belarusian fare to exotic Asian specialties.
The street food concept fits perfectly into the industrial aesthetic of the former factory building, creating a unique urban atmosphere beloved by both Minsk residents and tourists.
Evening Program and Season Plans
A special highlight of the opening was the evening concert by the old-school hip-hop group “Nonstandard Variant,” whose performance drew numerous fans of the Belarusian music scene.
According to the organizers, “Best Street” will operate daily from 12:00 to 23:00 at 95/16 Nezavisimosti Avenue. The venue plans to hold regular themed events, master classes, and musical performances throughout the season.
Interesting Project History
It is worth noting that “Best Street” has had a complex history. Initially opened in August 2022 with plans for year-round operation, its activities were suspended that very autumn. Subsequently, a conflict arose between the owners of the Luch factory and the original operators of the gastronomic space, after which the project came under the management of the organizers of the well-known Vulitsa Ezha festival.
Today, “Best Street” is one of the iconic spots of modern Minsk, where urban history, gastronomic traditions, and contemporary culture combine successfully. The new season promises to be full of events and culinary discoveries for all fans of street food and atmospheric urban spaces.
For city entertainment lovers and fans of quality street food, “Best Street” becomes an essential part of spring–summer leisure in Minsk.
