Spring 2025 in Minsk Parks: Fire Brigade, Biorobot & More

Spring 2025 in Minsk Parks: Fire Brigade, Biorobot & More

April 19,5 min. to read

With the arrival of spring, the capital is preparing a gift for amusement ride enthusiasts: in 2025, eight new carousels will appear in Minsk parks, among which the themed “Fire Brigade,” the extreme “Biorobot,” and aerial free‑fall chains will hold a special place. Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer of the “Minskgreenstroy” Municipal Enterprise, Ruslan Kosevich, spoke about the details of the park zone updates.

Successor to “Ladya” and family “Waltz” with “Dragons”

One of the first novelties of the season will be the revamped “Ladya” in Gorky Park: the outdated structure will be replaced by a modern ride with more spacious cabins and bright lighting. Alongside “Ladya,” the “Waltz” and “Dragons” will start operating on the plaza near the main stage in the first days of May – family carousels with a gentle dynamic, suitable for children aged 4 and up.
“We have completed laying the tiled platform and are preparing the foundation for the ‘Fire Brigade’ – it will be a completely different story, more interactive and educational for children,” – noted R. Kosevich.

“Fire Brigade”: detective and rescue play

The main children’s hit of the Central Children’s Park named after M. Gorky will be the “Fire Brigade” attraction, designed for children aged 6 and up (younger visitors are admitted only when accompanied by adults). At the heart of the composition is a realistic imitation of a burning building, around which a “rescue train” circulates. Each child will receive a working “hose”‑spray to “extinguish” the imaginary fire. The interactivity makes this attraction not just a fun carousel but an engaging educational quest.

Extreme Zone: “Biorobot” and free‑fall chains

For thrill‑seekers, the parks will feature:
  • Free‑fall chains – a smooth ascent to a height of over 20 m, after which the cabins begin to swing around the central axis. The height and motion will deliver vivid emotions, while the soft seats ensure comfort.
  • “Biorobot” – a hybrid of the “Calypso” and a modern dynamo‑ride: cabins rise to 6 m and rotate not only around the circle but also around their own axis, providing maximum “action.” Age limits and safety requirements will be announced separately.
Both extreme attractions are expected to open by the end of 2025, once certification and installation are complete.

“Swans” and “Mix” in Chelyuskintsev Park

Chelyuskintsev Park is preparing to open the season on April 27 (weather permitting). For the reopening of the renovated alleys, they are installing:
  • “Swans” – a classic boat carousel for children and adults, allowing a ride over the “water surface.”
  • “Mix” (known as the “flying bench”) – an unusual ride combining rotation and gentle rocking; it will open no earlier than the third quarter of 2025.
In addition to Chelyuskintsev Park, relaxation areas will open on the same day in Ugo Chavez Park and the 900th Anniversary of Minsk Park.

Tickets and Pricing: no long queues

Gorky Park is completing a large‑scale renovation and anticipates the season start in the first days of May. Good news: all eight ticket offices will operate simultaneously, allowing visitors to avoid long lines. Ticket prices for any attraction this season will remain at last year’s level, averaging 2.5 rubles.
“Over the past two years, we have purchased 16 new carousels for the capital’s parks, and now 58 attractions are in operation. This year, eight more unique models will be added,” – commented General Director of “Minskgreenstroy,” Alexander Ermolovich.
Plan your visit in advance: by the end of April, Chelyuskintsev, Ugo Chavez, and the 900th Anniversary of Minsk parks will welcome visitors, and in the first days of May, the revamped Central Children’s Park named after M. Gorky will join them. The new carousels will offer loads of impressions for both children and adults – from calm rides on the “Swans” to real thrills on the “Biorobot” and free‑fall chains. Don’t miss the chance to be among the first to try the “Fire Brigade” and become a real rescuer!
