Divivelka Park

Divivelka Park

2 min. to read

Divivelka Park is a young but already popular park in Minsk, located in the Frunzensky district between the Sukharevo and Krasny Bor neighborhoods. It occupies the territory where the Kachinka River once flowed, known locally as "Divivelka," which gave the park its name. The park was officially named "Divivelka" on June 17, 2009, by a decision of the Minsk City Council of Deputies. Currently, the park is actively being improved and is gradually becoming an attractive recreational spot for local residents and visitors to the capital. One of the main attractions of the park is the Rescuers' Alley, established in 2016. Here, there is a commemorative plaque dedicated to the workers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as a modern children's sports complex featuring the emblem of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus. Additionally, the park has a Paratroopers' Alley with exhibition samples of military equipment, including the BMP-2 and BTR-60. These exhibits attract special attention from both children and adults. Divivelka Park also offers visitors many other activities. It features the "Bird Glade" Ecotrail, equipped with sports equipment, rest pavilions, and informative eco-signs about the park's flora and fauna. Within the park, there is a small pond where swimming is prohibited, but it remains a popular spot for walking and feeding ducks. For families with children, there is a playground with swings, slides, and a sandbox. The park also has a designated dog-walking area, enclosed by a tall fence, ensuring safety and comfort for visitors with pets. Divivelka Park is regularly updated and developed, making it an excellent place for outdoor relaxation. The clean grounds, well-maintained lawns and shrubs, and unique designer benches create a cozy atmosphere for walks and evening family gatherings.
