In the residential complex “Minsk-World,” construction of a new school, which has already been assigned number 227, is actively underway. The educational institution, designed for 1056 students, will open at the beginning of the new academic year. A unique feature of the project will be a standalone swimming pool accessible not only to students but also to local residents. This was reported by a correspondent of the “Minsk-News” agency, citing “Minskstroy.”
Construction Progress: School and Swimming Pool
As of today, the facade of the school building on Nikola Tesla Street is fully plastered and ready for painting. Basketball hoops and mounts for volleyball nets have already been installed in the gymnasiums — this was done in advance to avoid damaging the flooring during subsequent work. The cafeteria is also completed, and the installation of equipment there will begin in April.
The exterior of the swimming pool building is prepared for finishing touches, while interior plastering and ceiling preparation for painting are underway. In the near future, builders will begin installing ventilation systems and finishing the surfaces of the two pool basins.
Landscaping and Stadium
The landscaping of the area around the school will soon begin — the utility networks are almost completed. At the same time, preparations are underway for the future stadium site. This area will feature a football field, a running track, three sports courts, a jump pit, and stands for spectators. The new sports facility will be another advantage for the residents of “Minsk-World.”
The School as Part of a Grand Plan
The opening of School No. 227 is part of Minsk's social infrastructure development program for 2025. As previously reported by Irina Gontareva, Chair of the Construction and Investment Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, three new schools will be established in the capital this year, two of which will be in “Minsk-World,” and the third in the Sokol district. The plans also include the opening of clinics, kindergartens, and other healthcare facilities.
The new school on Nikola Tesla Street is already attracting attention with its modern design and functionality. It will become an important addition to the infrastructure of the rapidly growing residential complex, providing comfortable education for children and additional opportunities for residents.
