Minsk residents have just a little longer to wait: in December 2024, three new stations of the Zelenoluzhskaya metro line — "Aerodromnaya," "Nemorshansky Sad," and "Slutsky Gostinets" — will open. This was announced by Nadezhda Lazarevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, during a meeting with the staff of the Minsk Printing Factory of Goznak.

A Long-Awaited Event for the Capital’s Residents

The construction of new metro stations in Minsk is a significant event that many city residents have been eagerly anticipating. Although the opening was planned earlier, the deadlines were postponed multiple times. However, according to the City Executive Committee representative, the stations are already in test mode. “The stations will open very soon, in December. As of now, they are undergoing testing. For their operation, 24 new Russian-made cars have been purchased. They are convenient and comfortable, and they are currently being trialed,” noted Nadezhda Lazarevich.

Infrastructure Changes in the Capital

The new Zelenoluzhskaya line stations will become an essential part of the city's transportation system. They will provide accessibility to remote city areas, reducing travel time for thousands of passengers. Additionally, the station openings will help ease the load on other metro lines and improve the overall transportation situation in Minsk. The opening of the stations coincides with several other infrastructure projects in the capital. For example, by December, residents of the Frunzensky and Moskovsky districts will have access to artesian water. A unique pool on Kalvariyskaya Street and the renovated Traktor Stadium were also recently inaugurated.

Expectations for the New Stations

The launch of the "Aerodromnaya," "Nemorshansky Sad," and "Slutsky Gostinets" stations not only improves the quality of life for Minsk residents but also stimulates the development of nearby areas. Increased investment attractiveness, business development, and enhanced living conditions are anticipated in these regions. The Minsk metro is traditionally regarded as one of the most convenient and safe modes of transportation. The opening of the new stations in December will mark an important milestone in its further development. Get ready for changes: soon, Minsk residents will enjoy even greater convenience when traveling around the city thanks to the new Zelenoluzhskaya line stations!
