Summer 2025 is just around the corner, and
Minsk beaches are actively preparing for the upcoming swimming season. This year, vacationers can look forward to pleasant innovations: new playground complexes for children, cozy benches, wooden gazebos, and barbecues. Which of the capital’s beaches will be updated, and what new features will appear on their territory? We detail everything based on fresh data from “Minsk News” and the Minsk Forest-Park Administration.
Which Minsk Beaches Are Set for Updates?
The season’s preparations will affect four popular beaches of the Belarusian capital:
- Tsnyanskoye Reservoir
- Zaslav Reservoir
- Drozd
- Krinitsa
These recreational areas are refreshed annually, with equipment and infrastructure being updated. By April 25, 2025, the installation of new equipment will be completed so that, starting May 1, the beginning of the swimming season, Minsk residents and visitors can enjoy a comfortable break.
New Equipment: What Will Appear on the Beaches?
The Minsk Forest-Park Administration is actively working on improving the beach areas. Special attention is being given to the comfort of vacationers of all ages — from toddlers to fans of active recreation. Here is what new features will appear on the capital’s beaches:
Playground Complexes for Children
For the little visitors of the beaches, safe and engaging recreational areas are being prepared:
- Tsnyanskoye Reservoir: a playground complex and four dual-section swings will be installed here. It is the perfect spot for family outings, where children can have a great time.
- Zaslav Reservoir: a gazebo-like hut and a spring rocker will appear on the beaches, delighting the little ones with their simplicity and vibrancy.
Benches, Gazebos, and Barbecues
For adult vacationers, features are provided that will make relaxation convenient and enjoyable:
- 19 wooden gazebos are already installed on the beaches, and there will be even more in total. These structures are handcrafted by specialists from the Minsk Forest-Park Administration, ensuring their eco-friendliness and durability.
- 4 shaded canopies out of the 6 planned are already delighting visitors, with two more to be added soon.
- 75 sun loungers out of 150 are already ready so that vacationers can sunbathe comfortably.
- 4 benches, 10 tables with chairs, a sunbathing podium, and 22 informational stands will complement the infrastructure.
- Additionally, there will be dressing cabins, extra swings, trash bins, and barbecues — around 30 pieces of equipment in total.
Sports Innovations
Fans of active recreation will not be left out either:
- At Beach No.1 on the Minsk Sea (Zaslav Reservoir) will see 9 pieces of sports equipment and a football pitch installed. This is an excellent opportunity to stay in shape right by the water’s edge.
Safety and Comfort: Additional Measures
In addition to the new equipment, safety measures are being strengthened and the infrastructure is being improved at the beaches:
- 12 lifeguard towers will be installed by the start of the season to ensure the safety of swimmers. This was announced by Dmitry Matyushko, chairman of the Minsk City Organization of OSVOD.
- The beaches will be equipped with an updated array of swimming equipment, including speedboats, and starting May 1, 20 seasonal lifeguard posts will begin operating in addition to 8 year-round stations.
- The shoreline will be renewed with a delivery of 6,000 cubic meters of sand (4,000 already in place), making the beaches cleaner and more comfortable.
- Renovations of access roads, pedestrian paths, and parking areas are underway to ensure convenient access.
Why Is This Important for Minsk Residents?
The updates at the Tsnyanka, Zaslav Reservoir, Drozd, and Krinitsa beaches will make them even more attractive for leisure. New playground complexes will delight children, benches and gazebos will provide comfort for adults, and barbecues will allow for a picnic right by the shore. Sports equipment will attract active visitors, while lifeguard towers and clean sand will guarantee safety and comfort.
When to Expect the Innovations?
All work is planned to be completed by April 25, 2025, so that the beaches will be fully ready by the opening of the season. This coincides with the launch of the city’s fountains, which will add a summery atmosphere for the capital’s residents.
Minsk beaches in 2025 will become a true oasis for vacationers. Whether you are planning a family outing, an active sports day, or a relaxing time by the water, everything you need will be available at Tsnyanka, Zaslav, Drozd, and Krinitsa. Be sure to enjoy the updated recreational areas as early as May!
