The “Medvezhino” Forest Park is a green oasis in the densely populated Frunzensky District of Minsk, which has become a popular spot for walks and active recreation for locals. This forest park was comprehensively renovated a few years ago, thanks to the efforts of city authorities.
Now, the “Medvezhino” Forest Park features well-maintained paths lit by street lamps, benches, and trash bins, with a large playground full of various entertainment options for children located on a picturesque meadow. The park attracts young parents with strollers as well as running and walking enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy the fresh air, watch squirrels and birds, and relax in the cool shade of centuries-old firs and broad-leaved trees.
The park is divided into two areas: the well-maintained and the "wild" zones. The well-maintained area, bordered by Yakubovsky and M. Goretsky Streets, is equipped with sidewalks, lighting, and tick control. It also has benches, trash bins, and playgrounds. The wild area, located along Sharangovich Street, retains its natural beauty, where mushrooms can be foraged, but lacks amenities and infrastructure.
The “Medvezhino” Forest Park is a picturesque and cozy place for family outings that continues to develop and remain an important part of Minsk's green infrastructure.
