Grushevsky Square

Gruşevsky Square, located in the Moscow district of Minsk, is a cozy and picturesque place to relax and walk. The square was founded in 1935 and for a long time was known as the "Decabrist Square". In 2009, the Minsk City Council of Deputies gave it a new name in honor of the historic suburb of Gruşevka. The square is an important green massive among high-rise new buildings, its area slightly reduced in the early 21st century due to construction. Nevertheless, locals are actively advocating the preservation of this green corner, which has led to the stopping of tree cutting in 2020. Grushevsky Square attracts visitors with its well-maintained trails, cozy bars and playgrounds. Here they often walk with dogs, and cleanliness isined thanks to the presence of garbage urns. Near the park are cafes, which makes it even more attractive to visit. Despite its dense construction, Grushevsky Square remains an important green oasis in the area of Dzerzhinsky Avenue, offering residents and guests of Minsk a place to walk and relax among old trees and greens.
