Alisher Navoi Square, located in the center of Minsk on Sverdlova Street, is a picturesque place where modernity and cultural heritage harmoniously blend. On July 29, 2019, a bust of the great poet, statesman, and thinker of the 15th century, Alisher Navoi, was ceremoniously unveiled in the square. The opening ceremony took place as part of the First Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan and attracted the attention of many high-ranking officials.
The bust monument, created based on the design project of young sculptor Maxim Makarevich, is the central element of the square and a symbol of cultural dialogue between the two countries. The square is designed in a modern style: elegant and comfortable benches are arranged along neat paths, and stylish lamps illuminate the area in the evening, creating a cozy atmosphere. Nearby is the Dinamo Stadium, which adds a sporty energy to the surrounding landscape, as well as the Centropol business center.
This place has become a new cultural and social center for the residents and visitors of Minsk, offering not only the opportunity to enjoy beauty and tranquility but also to connect with the great legacy of Alisher Navoi.
