Park of Friendship of Peoples is one of the largest and most picturesque parks in Minsk, located in the Soviet district of the capital. Created in 1978 on the site of the former Minsk Experimental Marsh Station, this landscape park covers an area of 70 hectares and is divided into two parts by Orlovskaya Street.

The park’s history dates back to the early 20th century when the area was known as Komarov Marsh. From 1911, the Minsk Experimental Marsh Station operated here, focusing on research in land reclamation and agriculture on drained lands. In 1978, after the station ceased operations, the decision was made to create a park on the site. Over time, it has become a popular place for both residents and visitors of Minsk.

The Park of Friendship of Peoples is renowned for its diverse vegetation. More than 4,200 trees have been planted here, including rare species. The northern part of the park is known for its picturesque groves of Siberian larch and birch, creating unique landscape compositions.

The park’s infrastructure provides excellent opportunities for active and family recreation. It features sports and children’s playgrounds, as well as a venue for mass events and rallies. Among the park's attractions are the Orthodox church dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God "The Inexhaustible Chalice" and the popular beer restaurant "Friends."

Particularly noteworthy is the sculptural composition called "Belarusian Happiness," installed in 2002. This art object, depicting a stork against the backdrop of a horseshoe, symbolizes luck and peace and has become one of the park’s recognizable emblems.

Despite temporary inconveniences due to nearby construction work, the park continues to be a beloved spot for walks and relaxation. The Park of Friendship of Peoples delights visitors with its serene atmosphere, well-maintained greenery, and opportunities for active leisure. It is the perfect place to enjoy nature in the heart of Minsk.
