Square "Belarusian Partisan" is located at the southeastern entrance to Minsk, near the "Mogilevskaya" metro station. It was opened in 2005 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and to honor the memory of partisans and underground fighters who fought for the freedom of Belarus.
The main feature of the square is an impressive monument with a 21-meter granite column. The base of the column is adorned with bas-reliefs depicting the heroism and selflessness of Belarusian partisans. At the top of the column stands a 5.5-meter sculptural group representing a family of partisans, symbolizing the unity and strength of the people in their fight against the occupiers.
Square "Belarusian Partisan" serves not only as a place for rest and walks but also as a significant historical and cultural landmark, reminding visitors of the harsh times of war and the feats of those who fought for their homeland’s freedom.
