Eco-Trail "Fairyland"

In the Uruchye-2 neighborhood, just a hundred meters from the busy Shugaeva Street and the MKAD ring road, a new eco-trail named "Fairyland" has appeared. This green corner offers residents and guests of Minsk a unique opportunity to enjoy nature in the heart of the city. Transformation of Nature The eco-trail is located on the site of a former swamp that has been transformed into a picturesque recreation area. The natural features have been preserved, including marshy lowlands densely covered with willows and other moisture-loving plants. The area of the eco-trail is over a hectare, and it is landscaped with respect to the natural landscape. Comfortable paths have been laid, benches and solar-powered lighting have been installed, creating a pleasant environment for relaxation. Features of the Eco-Trail Information Stands: Along the eco-trail, stands and signs provide information about the local flora and fauna. You can also listen to the sounds of nature by scanning the QR codes on the stands. Art Objects: The park is adorned with various sculptures made of wood, metal, and concrete. You will see wooden figures of owls, foxes, and fish, a metal sculpture of a moose, and a large sculpture of an elf on a dandelion. Lakes and Fishing: The eco-trail features two lakes, one of which will soon have water lilies planted. Wooden platforms around the lakes are designed for fishing. Family Recreation: "Fairyland" is a great place for family outings. Children can feed the ducks, play outdoors, and for the convenience of all visitors, the park has ramps and benches. Historical Context Previously, this area was a marshy floodplain of the Slepnaya River. During Soviet times, the area was significantly transformed, and only in 2023 did the project to improve it begin, with the goal of preserving natural features and creating a comfortable space for recreation. The Eco-Trail "Fairyland" demonstrates how natural elements can be harmoniously integrated into an urban landscape, providing a unique opportunity to enjoy nature and art in one place.
