Mikhailovsky Square, located in the center of Minsk, is a popular and cozy place for residents and visitors to the capital to relax. The square is situated in the Oktyabrsky district, near Leningradskaya, Sverdlova, Kirova Streets, and Mikhailovsky Lane. This green space was established in 1925 and officially received its name in 1934.

The sculpture "Girl with an Umbrella" commemorates the victims of the 1999 tragedy at the "Nyamiha" metro station, where 53 people died in a crush. "Smoker," modeled after film producer Vladimir Golynsky, also draws interest due to its mystical story.
